Calibration without taking vehicles off the road
A logistics provider's hard-wired vehicle probes meant days off the road for every installation and every calibration. Wireless sensors and a probe-swap programme from JTF keep the fleet running and the records complete.

The problem
The provider's hard-wired temperature sensors were costly and slow to fit, and annual calibration took vehicles off the road for days.
Every gap in monitoring carried a risk of non-compliance, spoiled product and lost customer confidence. The team needed to prove temperature control without stopping the fleet to do it.
What we did
JTF replaced the hard-wired probes with wireless sensors and changed how calibration is done.
- Wireless sensors fitted to whole vehicles without taking them out of service for long.
- A probe replacement programme: calibrated probes swapped in minutes, so a vehicle keeps working while its old probes are calibrated. See calibration.
- Sensors connected to the fleet's existing systems and a tracking app: drivers see live readings on the journey, operations teams replay trips to check performance, and compliance teams pull audit-ready reports.
- Training from drivers to logistics managers, then alarm thresholds and workflows tuned over time with ongoing support.
The result
Calibration is now a routine service task rather than days of downtime, which cuts both service cost and disruption.
Audits are simpler because reports come straight from the system, and journey replays help operations teams spot problems. Because wireless sensors cost less to fit, the provider could cover its whole fleet.
