Legacy sensors we still support
If your site runs older radio sensors, they keep recording on Sematics. You keep monitoring, alarms and reports while you plan a move to current Sematics sensors, site by site, with no gap in the record.
What's supported
Installed sensors keep working
We support the legacy devices already installed and recording on Sematics. We don't sell these ranges any more, so new sites and additions use the current range.
Hanwell-protocol radio transmitters
Temperature, temperature and humidity, temperature and door, air and core, voltage and 4 to 20 mA transmitters already on site.
System 5 radio transmitters
Single and two-channel temperature transmitters already on site.
Service and calibration
Fault visits, repairs where parts allow, and calibration: temperature in our own UKAS accredited calibration laboratory No. 10723, other parameters through accredited partners.
Hanwell is a trade mark of its owner. JTF is not affiliated with it; we name the protocol only to say which installed sensors Sematics reads.
The upgrade path
Moving to current sensors, without a gap
Nothing has to change on a set date. When you're ready, we plan the move with you and carry it out site by site.

Survey
We list what's installed, what's due for calibration, and what's worth replacing first.

Link+ gateway installed
Current Sematics sensors report through a Link+ gateway. We plan coverage for each site and install the gateway first, alongside your existing system.

Like-for-like replacement
Each legacy sensor is swapped for a current Sematics sensor that measures the same thing, in the same place.

Phased by site
One site, building or department at a time, to suit your budget and your audit calendar.

Records and settings carried over
The asset keeps its history, limits, alarm routes and reports. The record runs on without a gap.
