Privacy policy

Effective date: 1 January 2025. How we collect, use, disclose and safeguard your data when you visit our website or interact with our services.

JTF Wireless is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your data when you visit our website or interact with our services.

By using our website, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

1. Information we collect

We collect personal data that you provide to us directly, as well as information collected automatically through the website.

a. Information you provide. We collect data you provide when you:

  • Fill out forms on our website (enquiries, quotes, downloads and the online compliance check).
  • Chat with Jack, the assistant on our website: your messages, the page you asked from, and any contact details you choose to give him.
  • Contact us by phone or email.
  • Use the Sematics monitoring platform as a customer (covered by your service agreement).
  • Contact us via email, phone, or other means.

This may include:

  • Your name, email address, phone number, and job title.
  • Company details (e.g., organisation name, address).
  • Any additional information you provide in messages or attachments.

b. Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we may collect certain information automatically, such as:

  • Your IP address and browser type.
  • Device information (e.g., operating system, device model).
  • Pages you visit, time spent on each page, and referral source.
  • Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4), only if you accept them. See our cookie policy.

2. How we use your information

We use your data to:

  • Provide you with information about our products and services.
  • Respond to your enquiries and process requests made through our website forms.
  • Answer your questions in the website chat (Jack), pass a conversation to a person when you ask, and improve the answers.
  • Provide our services and technical support to customers.
  • Improve website functionality and monitor performance using analytics.
  • Contact you with updates, news, and marketing communications (if you have opted in).

We will only use your data for marketing purposes if you have given explicit consent.

3. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. However, we may share your data with trusted third-party service providers to support our operations, such as:

  • Cloudflare: hosting of this website and secure processing of website form submissions.
  • Google: website analytics (Google Analytics 4), only with your consent.
  • OpenAI: writes Jack's replies from the text of your chat messages and the pages of this website. It does not receive your IP address.
  • Microsoft: email and business systems.
  • IT and hosting providers who assist in maintaining the website.
  • Legal or regulatory authorities if required to comply with applicable laws.

All third parties are contractually obligated to process your data securely and only for the specified purposes.

4. Cookies and tracking technologies

This website uses as little storage as it can:

  • Strictly necessary: your light or dark display choice, and a cookie that remembers your cookie choice.
  • The website chat, only when you open it: a random device id and the current conversation, kept in your browser so the chat survives moving between pages.
  • Analytics (Google Analytics 4): only if you accept them in the cookie banner. Google Consent Mode keeps analytics storage off until then. We use no advertising cookies.

You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" at the foot of every page. Our cookie policy lists each cookie.

5. Data retention

We retain your data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this policy or to comply with legal obligations. Specific retention periods may apply to:

  • Form submissions and enquiries: retained for up to 2 years unless otherwise requested.
  • Website chat conversations (Jack): kept for up to 90 days, without your IP address. Contact details you leave in the chat are handled as an enquiry.
  • Customer data on our monitoring platform: retained as set out in each customer's service agreement.

6. Security

We implement technical and organisational measures to protect your data from unauthorised access, disclosure, or misuse. These include:

  • Data encryption during transmission.
  • Secure, role-based access controls for our monitoring platform.
  • Regular system audits to ensure compliance with security best practices.

7. Your rights

As a data subject, you have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or update your personal data.
  • Request deletion of your personal data where it is no longer necessary.
  • Object to the processing of your data for direct marketing purposes.
  • Withdraw consent at any time if you have opted in to receive communications.

To exercise your rights, contact us at support@jtfwireless.com.

8. Third-party links

Our website may include links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. Please review their privacy policies before providing personal data.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Any updates will be posted on this page, and the "Effective Date" will be updated accordingly.
