For fleets carrying food, drink and medicines

Telematics built around the temperature of the load

Vehicle tracking, cameras, load temperature, doors and portable boxes on one platform, alongside your stores and depots. Each vehicle has its own alarm limits and delays, set from its own door-open data, with alarms held while it is parked off duty at a set location such as a depot, and the data reaches your delivery and proof-of-delivery systems through the Sematics API.

  • Vehicle tracking, cameras and driver safety alerts
  • Van, trailer, compartment and box temperatures, with door sensors
  • Traceable or UKAS calibration for every sensor we supply (UKAS accredited calibration laboratory No. 10723 for temperature)

What your customers and inspectors ask

The rules a temperature-controlled journey answers to

Food and medicines have different rules on the road. Both ask whether the load stayed in range and whether you can prove it.

Integrations

From the vehicle to your own systems

Sematics integrates with delivery and proof-of-delivery systems through its API, including a working integration with Alt Logic. Ask us about yours.

What we monitor

The vehicle, the load and the driver

  • Vehicle tracking

Continuous GPS location, speed and ignition, with geofences, route history, driver eco scores and fuel estimates.

  • Load temperature and doors

Bluetooth Eye sensors in vans, trailers and compartments for temperature, humidity and door status, reporting through the vehicle tracker.

  • Cameras and driver safety

Road and driver cameras on the camera-enabled tracker, with alerts, depending on the cameras fitted, for harsh driving, drowsiness, phone use, lane departure and forward collision.

  • Trailers, containers and boxes

Battery asset trackers for trailers, containers and cages, plus Coldtainer active cold boxes and Medibox medicine transport boxes, tracked door to door.

How JTF helps

Trackers, cameras and sensors for every kind of load

A hard-wired or plug-in tracker on each vehicle, Bluetooth Eye sensors in each compartment, cameras where you want evidence, and battery trackers for anything without power. Everything reports to the same Sematics record as your stores and depots.

Questions

What people in your sector ask us

Will a door opened at every drop set off an alarm?

No. Each alarm has its own delay, set from that vehicle's door-open recovery, so a normal drop is recorded without paging anyone and a door left open still alerts. A vehicle's alarms can also be held while it is inside its depot geofence.

Can it connect to our delivery or proof-of-delivery system?

Sematics integrates with delivery and proof-of-delivery systems through its REST and GraphQL APIs and signed webhooks, so readings, alarms and journey data can reach the systems your drivers and office already use. Tell us which system you use and we'll say what works today.

Does the driver see the alarm?

Alarms go to the people you choose, in the order you set, by SMS, voice call, email or app push, and the driver can be one of them. Escalation carries on until someone acknowledges.

How are vehicle sensors calibrated without taking vehicles off the road?

With wireless sensors, calibrated sensors and probes are swapped in minutes, so the vehicle keeps working while its own are calibrated. Calibration for every sensor we supply: traceable to national standards as standard, or UKAS accredited where you need it (temperature in our own UKAS accredited calibration laboratory No. 10723). See the logistics case study.

Can we see vehicles and depots together?

Yes. Trackers and fixed sensors report to the same Sematics record, with the same alarms, incidents and reports, so a load's record runs from the store to the drop.
