The problem
University Hospitals of Leicester is one of the largest teaching trusts in the UK, working across three hospitals. Its Blood Transfusion Department needed to watch sensitive equipment across all of them.
Two gaps stood out: there was no remote access to temperature readings, and equipment at satellite locations had no wireless monitoring at all.
What we did
JTF installed wireless monitoring across the trust and supports it day to day.
- Laboratories, blood banks, transplant facilities and point-of-care services, monitored on one system.
- Blood sciences vehicles included, so samples are covered on the move as well as on site.
- Readings available remotely, so staff can check equipment without walking to it.
The result
The trust now monitors 350+ assets across its three hospitals on one system, with readings available remotely and blood sciences vehicles covered on the move as well as on site.
