1 August 2025. JTF Wireless has been appointed the exclusive UK service partner for Sematics, the environmental monitoring and telematics platform. JTF now provides design, installation, calibration and support for the entire Sematics product range in the UK.

For customers, it means one UK team for the whole life of a system: from the site survey and wireless design to installation, traceable and UKAS calibration, validation and ongoing support.

“Sematics is changing what monitoring systems can do, from the resilience of the Node+ and Link+ hardware to the intelligence of the analytics platform. An exclusive UK partnership with JTF gives customers that technology, backed by JTF's commitment to careful delivery and long-term support.”

Oliver Sharpe, Director, Sematics

What the partnership covers

  • System design, including the LoRaWAN wireless infrastructure and how it fits your site and IT.
  • Installation by our own engineers, from Node+ sensors to Link+ gateways and vehicle trackers. See installation and support.
  • Calibration: calibration for every sensor we supply: traceable to national standards as standard, or UKAS accredited where you need it (temperature in our own UKAS accredited calibration laboratory No. 10723, accredited to ISO/IEC 17025; other parameters through accredited partners). See calibration.
  • Validation where your quality system needs it, and temperature mapping as a managed service.
  • Support under service agreements, with out-of-hours cover scoped on request on Enhanced agreements.

Why it matters for customers

Regulated sites need monitoring that is accurate, keeps running and stands up at inspection. The hardware and the Sematics platform are built for that; the service around them decides whether a system keeps performing year after year.

Having one partner responsible for design, calibration and support means fewer hand-offs when something goes wrong, and one record of every sensor, certificate and alarm. It also lets us roll out national projects across many sites with the same set-up everywhere.

The Sematics platform already processes 11 million+ temperature readings a day and has 330+ LoRaWAN gateways connected. The partnership puts a UK service team behind that scale, with engineers who install, calibrate and maintain the hardware on customers' sites.

Questions people ask

What does JTF Wireless do for Sematics customers?

We design, install, calibrate and support Sematics systems in the UK. That includes wireless design, installation by our own engineers, traceable and UKAS calibration, validation, training and ongoing support under a service agreement.

What support do we get after installation?

Regular reviews of how the system is performing, calibration when certificates fall due, and help desk support. Standard agreements cover Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00; Enhanced agreements add out-of-hours cover, scoped on request. Alarms reach your people day and night; our help desk is open Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00.

How accurate are Sematics sensors?

Each sensor we supply has accredited calibration: temperature in our own UKAS accredited calibration laboratory No. 10723 (accredited to ISO/IEC 17025), other parameters through accredited partners. Certificates are held in Sematics against each sensor, with reminders before they expire.

What range do Sematics sensors have?

Sematics sensors use LoRaWAN, a long-range, low-power wireless network suited to large sites and multi-building estates. Range on a given site depends on the building, so we survey before we install.
