Eastron SDM630MCT LoRaWAN MID energy meter
A DIN rail energy meter for incoming supplies, refrigeration plant and other circuits, read through current transformers (CTs). It is MID approved for kWh, measures single-phase and 3-phase supplies, and sends its readings over LoRaWAN to Sematics, where energy sits alongside your temperatures.

What the meter measures
| On the meter | Voltage and current per phase, voltage and current THD, frequency, power factor, active, reactive and apparent power, maximum current and power demand, import, export and total kWh and kVArh |
|---|---|
| Recorded in Sematics today | Total energy (kWh), power demand (W), total current (A) and frequency (Hz) |
| Maximum demand period | Preset periods of up to 60 minutes |
| Data update rate | 1 second nominal (on the meter) |
| Maximum reading | 9,999,999.9 kWh or kVArh |
The meter measures more than Sematics records. Ask us if you need per-phase readings, power factor or reactive energy on the platform.
Accuracy and approval
| MID | EN 50470-1 and EN 50470-3, Class B (active energy) |
|---|---|
| Accuracy class | Eastron's product page gives Class 0.5 (IEC/EN 62052-11, Class 0.5S); the 2020 user manual gives IEC 62053-21 Class 1 for active energy. We confirm the class of the meters we supply in the quote |
| Current and voltage | ±0.5% |
| Frequency | ±0.2% |
| Power factor | ±0.01 |
Accuracy is the manufacturer's. For a CT-operated meter, the accuracy of the whole installation also depends on the CTs and their ratio set on the meter.

Compatible
Compatible gateways
The meter reports over LoRaWAN through the Link+ gateways on your site, the same gateways that carry your Node+ temperature readings.
Works with Sematics
Readings become charts and records
Energy, power demand and current land on the same Sematics account as your temperature sensors, so the plant and the rooms it cools are on one screen.
